RTO Group, a leading print procurement and graphics management firm with offices in Connecticut and New York, entrusted several print jobs to John C. Otto. In the case of one Lenox Collectibles Catalog, RTO not only needed to meet an already established budget, they required delivery during the holidays. Several of their approved vendors were closed, but John C. Otto was able to deliver.

The files were sent to John C. Otto on December 19, and the catalogs needed to ship to various locations around the country on January 6. Despite the holidays, John C. Otto printed 40,000 of the 48-page plus, four-color catalogs in only 11 business days, and had the trimmed, folded, three-hole drilled, shrink-wrapped final products delivered on time.

In addition, the printing spec called for metallics to be used, but had not requested a varnish. (Metallics have flecks of metal that tend to rise to the surface and create “rub” when not coated or protected, especially with moderate to heavy coverage.) John C. Otto recognized this and took care of it for them, covering the metallics with spot gloss varnish.

This is just business as usual for John C. Otto, but it’s what makes us a printer of choice for major customers like RTO Group.
